Hi,
All indications at this stage once again mark this to be a great week of Day Camp. 31 Cubs from Pack 661 joined in with 170+ Cubs from other Packs in the South Hills to enjoy five days of archery, BBs, sports, crafts and yes, a fair amount of WATER activities. Thanks to the adults who joined in each day to help the boys move through the day. A huge thanks, the biggest of all, to Colleen P. for her fantastic leadership once again this year. Colleen has been our go-to leader for Day Camp for quite a few years now and each year just gets bigger and better.

Our new Tiger Dens are forming and we hope to get rolling with activities in {late} July or early August. Already, we have six boys from Baker, two from Eisenhower and one from Streams; nine new Tiger Cubs!

Flag Retirement
For the Webelos Heritage camping trip in mid-July, we are exploring having a flag retirement ceremony. If you have a flag that is worn or torn that needs a proper salute, please e-mail cubscouts661@verizon.net and we will include.

Pool Party, Planning and more planning...
It's back!
After a one year hiatus, the almost-annual Pack 661 Swim Party is now {back} on the schedule!
Save the date:
Saturday August 20, 2011..Evening
Montclair neighborhood pool.
Stay tuned for more details as the summer unfolds.
Planning and more planning...
It's time to plan our schedule of events for our next year of Scouting. This is where we need you to come out with ideas and dates for September and beyond.
At this point, we need someone to host a gathering or two during this summer for the planning of next year's calendar. When you host, you get to pick the dates of the meetings!
Contact cubscouts661@verizon.net if you want to host this year's gathering (usually five or so people...we'd love to have more tune in!).
Den Leaders....please get your calendar out and choose your den meeting dates (it's so hard to look that far ahead...). Please send dates and room requests to cubscouts661@verizon.net so that Joyce can schedule rooms at Westminster.
