Haunted Trail at Camp Guyasuta
October 22, 2011



Featuring Hayride, Climbing, Zipline (Over age 10) and Bonfire

Trading Post will be open and there will be food for sale.
All participants MUST have a signed consent form available at www.campguyasuta.org

Activities begin at 4 p.m. Trail will open at 6 p.m.
Each child receives a pumpkin

COST: $5 per person (including Adults) if registering by 10/7/11
$10 per person (including Adults) if registering after 10/8/11

Last chance to sign up for Cub Fun Day !

Last chance for anyone who did not get to sign up at the Pack meeting. Please send responses to Brandon Ritchie britchie@presschem.com

Cub Fun Day 2011 will be held this year on Sunday, October 9. It starts at noon and runs until 5 or 6 PM.


This is always a great day, an afternoon of boys getting to do boy stuff outside

Pack 661 had the largest attendance at this summer’s Day Camp… Let’s see if we can do it again for Fun Day!

I need to have the names of all boys who will be attending by Thursday, September 22 so I can register and pay for us at Flag Plaza by the deadline. The cost is $9 per boy and it will be collected at Fun Day. Parents are welcome to stay for the day; there is no charge for parents.

Many of you asked for a reminder prior to Pack meetings...here it is!
This coming Monday, 9/19, 7pm in Fellowship Hall.
This Pack Meeting is for all returning Cubs in 2nd through 5th grades.
Cubmaster Rick will be promoting neckerchiefs for rising Wolves, Bears and Webelos

A great opportunity to get out and sell some popcorn. This year, we'll have a show'n'sell at REI at Settler's Ridge in Robinson.
Sign up now for a one-hour timeslot for Sunday October 2nd. Maximum of four cute Cubs per hour; total day's sales will be distributed evenly among all who work.

Public Service Announcement: Cub Scout Multi-Pack Day: Orienteering
The Outdoor Classroom at Boyce-Mayview Rec Center
Time: 1-4pm
Fee: $15 per scout
Audience: Cub Scouts & other interested children grades 1st-5th

Learn the many skills associated with map and compass use. Try your hand at orienteering while hiking through Boyce Mayview Park. Create your own compass to help guide your way back home! Be sure to bring a water bottle, small snack and compass if you have one. Each scout will earn the Map and Compass pin and loop and receive The Outdoor Classroom participation patch. Group size is limited and on a first come, first served basis. Packs are encouraged to register together but individual scouts and other interested children are also accepted.Download registration form on their website.

Geocaching 101 - Autumn Adventure
The Outdoor Classroom at Boyce-Mayview Rec Center
Time: 3 – 6 pm
Fee: Free to participate, donations welcome for campfire treats
Audience: Family Friendly (ages 5 and up suggested). New and seasoned geocachers! Join the Classroom in welcoming the Pittsburgh Area Geocaching Association (PAGA) for a spine tingling introduction to geocaching! The evening will begin with an introduction to geocaching, what is a cach and how to get started or advance to new challenges. Afterwards we’ll break into caching teams and head into the park in search of hidden treasures! Once you’ve explored the caches in the park, return to the Learning Lab for campfire treats. Come in your favorite Halloween costume for a free treat! please register at either geocaching or with the outdoor classroom!
