The Pittsburgh Power invite area Scouts to:
2nd Annual Scout Day
Sunday, April 28th – 2:00PM at CONSOL Energy Center

Pittsburgh Power vs. San Antonio Talons

The Pittsburgh Power are happy to present our 2nd annual Scout Day, to be held on Sunday, April 28th. We are looking to make this a fun day for the scouts, so there will be different scout-themed activities that take place before and during the game. Scout groups will receive early entrance to the arena for a special coaches “Chalk Talk” before the game! Following the game, your scouts are invited to come down onto the field for a special "Meet the Power" autograph session. Each scout in attendance will also receive a Pittsburgh Power patch and the first 5,000 fans get a mini replica Power football – perfect for autographs!

Highlights

  • Early entry into the arena – Special “Chalk Talk” with coaches before the game and the ability to watch pregame warm-ups
  • Each Scout in attendance will receive a Pittsburgh Power patch (guaranteed for orders placed before April 12th - after which, while supplies last)
  • FREE Power mini-replica football to first 5,000 fans (scout groups get early entrance, ensuring you will receive a football)
  • Post-game "Meet the Power" autograph session ON THE FIELD!
  • Unlimited $1 Smith’s Hot Dogs and $1 Soft Drinks
  • Scout-themed promotions throughout the game
  • Scout units purchasing 25+ tickets (friends and family welcome) will be entered into a drawing - select members will be invited to participate in activity during the game (color guard presentation, contests, Jumbotron interviews, and more!)
  • A portion of the proceeds from every ticket purchased will be donated to support Boy Scout programs in Western PA

Our 1st Annual Scout Night last year was a huge success and the feedback we received from the scout units that attended was overwhelmingly positive. This year we have taken it a step further with our $1 Smith’s Hot Dogs and $1 Soft Drink promotion, making our Scout Day 2013 an unbeatable value for your scouts and their families!

Arena football is the most exciting sport to experience live. It is a high scoring, offense-oriented game with wall to wall action from kickoff to the final buzzer. Half the field, twice the excitement! The action is non-stop, with teams averaging over 50 points per game. One of the great things about arena football is the fact that you are so close to the action. Our Scout Day seats are located on the first level at CONSOL Energy Center, so you will be right on top of the action! If you have never seen an arena football game before, you really have to come experience it for yourself.

The Power are proud to be a fan-first organization and we provide our fans with unparalleled access to our players. Following the game, you are invited down onto the field for our "Meet the Power" autograph session. This has become a favorite of families across the Pittsburgh area. Bring your free Power football down to the field to have it signed by all the Power players!

Special Scout Night Pricing:
All of this for the special price of just
$15/ticket! (Regularly $25)

A portion of every ticket sold will be donated to support Boy Scouts programs in Western PA

Scout Sunday will be in April ...

Hi.
The initial plans to have Scout Sunday in February have been "adjusted."  We'll now have an event with the Church in April to coincide with Scouting for Food.  Stay tuned for details in the April timeframe.

Reminder: Return those B&G RSVPs!

Hi.
Please remember to return those RSVPs for the Blue&Gold Dinner!  We need to finalize caterer numbers by Feb. 17.  If your RSVP is late getting into the mail this weekend, please send an email to beth.hornak@gmail.com so that she can settle the catering...

See you next weekend!  How are those centerpieces coming along?

Blue & Gold Dinner Feb 23; Centerpieces

The annual Blue & Gold Banquet is coming up! Be on the lookout for your invitation shortly - we hope you can join us on Saturday, February 23rd at 4 pm.

Like last year, we're again asking each of the Dens to help with centerpieces & preparations for the Banquet. We'd like each Den to provide three centerpieces for the evening.

The theme is blue & gold, but don't let that limit you - we encourage creativity! If you're in need of ideas, Google "blue & gold banquet centerpieces ideas" - lots of ideas are out there. Please remember to keep them small/low enough for people to see over for the awards ceremony.

You can either drop your Den's centerpieces off to Katie's house before the Banquet (2146 Meadowmont Dr., USC), or you can drop them off to the church at 2pm on the day of the Banquet (Sat. Feb. 23).

If don't think your Den can provide centerpieces, please let Katie Scherer (schererkatie@yahoo.com) know by February 15th so a back-up can be provided.

Please also consider helping to set-up or clean-up the day of the Banquet. If you can help set-up, please arrive at 2 pm to the church on February 23rd. Hope to see you!

Please contact Katie Scherer at schererkatie@yahoo.com with any questions.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
