Time for the first graders to get rolling! Come on over to Westminster Presbyterian Church's Fellowship Hall for a bit of chaos...encourage friends to visit the blogspot website and fill out the new Scout interest form.

Mon September 19: Pack Meeting for returning second through fifth graders
Cubmaster Rick will be promoting neckerchiefs and books for the new Wolves, Bears and Webelos!
Sun October 9: Fun Day @ South Park. Stay tuned for registration info after some dust settles.
On a personal note (many of you who were at the pool party and signed the get-well card), Matt P sent an e-mail today that was full of great news! The tests indicate that the surgery was successful and he said that he is doing well and excited to get back to "normal." The docs suggested that a good recuperative method would be for Matt to volunteer for more leadership areas in the Pack. We are so glad to hear that he is doing well and that he is going to be even more of a go-to guy! (Sorry Matt - had to put that bit in there!)

Adult Planning Meeting and Last Call For Swim Party
Adult Planning Meeting::
Prior to the swim party, at 4:30pm on Saturday 8/20, we'll have an adult planning meeting to set the schedule for the year. Interested in some camping? Fall party at Simmons? Adults...come on over to the pavilion at the Montclair pool and let's get rolling...4:30pm....

THIS Saturday 8/20
Location: Montclair Neighborhood pool (Sherbrook Drive)
Time: 6pm-9pm (dinner 6:20-7:15ish)
Looks like a good group already signed up for the party. We do request that if you are coming...that you please sign up very soon so that we have accurate numbers of people...
The Pack will set up paper goods, lemonade/water and the main dish. Each family is asked to bring either a salad, a side dish, or dessert (your choice!).

After a one year hiatus, the almost-annual Pack 661 "it's almost time for school to start" family Swim Party is back!
The Pack will set up paper goods, lemonade/water and the main dish. Each family is asked to bring either a salad, a side dish, or dessert (your choice!).
So that we have enough life guards and main dish supplies, please sign up with numbers of people coming. Any late changes can be e-mailed to cubscouts661@verizon.net.
